Summer internships provide meaningful, rewarding and fun experiences!

Our internships provide a rich opportunity for the business to view the potential of a future hire and you the opportunity to experience work life with us. As always, it remains a highly competitive process with many talented candidates from across the country. Assignments are for 10 weeks beginning in June and concluding by August. You'll work side-by-side with experts in our business and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing your work make a difference while gaining valuable job experience.

Graduate Internships:

Summer Associates work closely with a team of professionals for 10 weeks during the summer months, typically June through August. The experiences are challenging, rewarding and fun. We seek 1st year MBAs with interests, studies and background in the financial services arena. Summer Associate positions are generally available in New York City, Norwalk, Connecticut and Chicago, Illinois.

Undergraduate Internships:

Summer undergraduate internship opportunities are available within our various business segments. The 10-week summer internships (possibly including winter breaks) usually begin in June and end in August. Summer Internship requirements seek individuals pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance and/or Accounting, entering Junior or Senior year with a 3.0 or greater GPA. Positions generally located in Norwalk, Connecticut and Chicago, Illinois.

My summer internship has been an extremely valuable and rewarding experience. Working alongside the intelligent and capable leaders of GE on a daily basis has provided me with a wealth of information and insight that I will apply throughout my career. I found the various projects to be consistently challenging and always changing, allowing me to apply my academic coursework to practical and dynamic business issues. This program is a great learning tool and I am confident that it will help me to succeed in any environment.

From analyzing the loan market, to working hands on with the Ecomagination team, I have gained knowledge and experience that will last throughout my career. I have sampled what it's like to work in underwriting, sales, and commercial excellence, while advancing my creativity and imagination. Not only has my internship given me an insider's perspective of the business world, it has offered several networking opportunities with senior leaders, human resource personnel, and individuals in the same boat as me. I have developed a heightened set of personal and social skills, such as collaboration and initiative, required to excel in any profession. Connections, memories, and career advancing skills are some of the many goals I have attained and exceeded this summer at GE.

From my very first day at GE, I was entrusted with significant and challenging projects that took my classroom learning to a whole new level. I found that as long as the desire to learn was there, the opportunities were abundant. I had the opportunity to visit a number of offices, create meaningful connections with senior-level management, sit in on deal review meetings, and be involved in multi-million dollar transactions. It was exciting to network with interns from various colleges and form relationships that will last a lifetime. GE has provided me with the necessary tools and skills to become successful throughout my career.
